Mashup Movie
Objective: Mashup one or more movies to change the meaning of the original movie.
Steps
1. Review the mashup genres/choices.
2. Watch the sample clips and pick the type of mashup you plan on creating.
3. Review the list of movie clips that are available to you from your teacher.
4. Write a one paragraph proposal/summary describing your planned mashup.
5. Write a list of the clips and audio you think you will need. (All clips used must be school appropriate.)
6. Find, covert, ask for assistance converting HD movie clips for your project
7. Using iMovie, GarageBand, and/or MPEG Streamclip to create your mashup

Mashup Genres/Choices
Movie Genre Mashup - Make a movie trailer that changes the genre of the movie. e.g. – Take a comedy and make it a horror movie, or turn an action flick into a love story. (Examples of this are Stalked in Seattle and Doubt Doubtfire.)
Movie Trailer Audio/Video MashUp – Take audio from one movie trailer and mash it up with video clips from one or more movies to create a new movie/movie trailer. (Examples of this are Kill Beast, Toy Grit, and Up Torino)
Other Movie MashUp – Mash up clips and audio from two or more different trailers to create one new trailer/more, or Mash up audio from one trailer with clips from multiple similar movies to create a new trailer. (Examples of this are Mean Disney and Goonies of the Caribbean)

- Mashup has a purpose and the rationale for creating it is clear
- Mashup demonstrates a complete idea/story
- Movie has even volume levels (e.g. it does not go from loud to quiet to loud)
- The soundtrack/music/sound effects make sense and fits nicely with the mashup
- Movie clips are crisp, clear, and not pixelated
- Mashup is well edited - all clips and audio fit together nicely
- Cite any copyrighted materials

- Text (reviews, notes, about the director, etc.)
- Rating Screen (Click the link to download a Photoshop file of the rating screen)
- Movie Production Company Screen
